Lika Brutyan

Lika Brutyan is a Los Angeles-based artist and photographer whose practice examines the human condition, vulnerability, and the expressive language of the body. Raised in Yerevan, Armenia, in a family rooted in both science and art, Brutyan initially earned a Master’s Degree in Psychology. Her clinical interest in human behavior, emotion, and internal states deeply informs her artistic approach, allowing her to translate psychological depth into evocative visual forms.

Primary focus in fine art portraiture, fashion photography, and sculptural works allows Brutyan to explore the fluidity of shape, movement, and the celebration of the feminine form. Emphasizing contour, spatial tension, and emotional stillness, her lens captures moments of raw introspection. In recent years, she has expanded her multidisciplinary practice into clay sculpture, transferring her sensitivity for tactile form and organic lines into physical, three-dimensional structures.

Brutyan’s work has been exhibited internationally across galleries, art fairs, and cultural institutions in the United States, France, Great Britain, Italy, and Romania—including presentations at the Pacific Design Center, Fondazione Luciana Matalon in Milan, Voies Off Festival in Arles, SCOPE New York, and the Museum of Art in Constanța. Her photographs have been featured in premier publications such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Marie Claire, and Esquire, and are held in private collections globally.
